These signs are great for the person who wants vehicle graphics only part of the time. They are easily installed and removed and can be used over and over again. If magnetic signs are properly installed and cared for, they should last for 2 ½ - 3 years with normal use. The main downfall of these signs is the same as their benefit, they are removable. If attention is not paid during instillation they can blow off and be lost during travel.

Installation

To properly install magnetic signs you must carefully prep the area to which they will be applied. The surface must be smooth and free of any debris or texture. If something as small as a few grains of sand were to be left between the signs and the receiving surface, the sign could possibly blow off or cause damage to the paint of your vehicle. You should always wipe the surface you intend to apply the magnetic sign to with alcohol prior to installation to avoid loss of your sign or damage to your paint job.

Care

When storing magnetic signs, they should always be laid flat and kept in a cool dry place. To clean these signs wipe with a mild detergent and soft cloth. Never scrub because the surface of these signs scratches easily.
